Considered the world leader in numerous balancing applications, Hofmann has been designing and producing balancing systems for over 75 years. Our expertise has been integrated into solutions for customers in all industries around the world.
The Hofmann Brothers formed Gebrueder Hofmann in Darmstadt, Germany in 1931.
The family-owned company is run by managers. To secure the Hofmann product quality and to keep a continuous development close to production, we have three production facilities, each specialized on certain applications.
In 1972, design and production of balancing machines in the USA started at American Hofmann Corporation in Lynchburg, Virginia.
In 1997, Hofmann Mess-und Auswuchttechnik moved into a new production facility in Pfungstadt, Germany. That same year, Hofmann acquired the balancing division of Krauss Maffei AG, as well as the assets of Reutlinger, another world-renowned balancing company.
In 2000, Hofmann Mess-und Teiltechnik, manufacturing rotary tables, dividing heads, and high precision balancing machine parts, moved into a new manufacturing facility in Grosselfingen, Germany.
Hofmann and its agents have key facilities around the world to support its products and the customers who use them.
