Balancing Machines for the Automotive Industry

Hofmann has been a leader in supplying precision balancing machines to the automotive industry for many years. We provide manual, automatic, and semi-automatic balancing machines and systems to all major automobile manufacturers and many automotive suppliers worldwide.

Our semi-automatic and automatic machines specialize in balancing via weight removal using precision milling (brake discs) or drilling (crankshaft) processes, as well as weight addition using our unique 1000 Hz welding system (torque converters). Our products for automotive powertrain balancing range from state-of-the-art rotary or inline transfer systems with integrated correction units and the latest PC controls for OEM and tier-level production applications to simple, low-cost manual machines for the aftermarket suppliers.

Machine layout and product flow are accommodated by both rotary and inline automated balancing machines, depending on production line requirements. Conveyor systems are designed for either individual or palletized part handling.

At the heart of our balancing machines is our flexible controls design, which allows our machines to easily be configured for the electrical requirements of your plant specifications. All of our machines are designed to accommodate a wide variety of CNC, PLC, servo control, and PC systems.
