Field Service Engineer (m/f)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, test, and repair fully automated, computerized industrial balancing systems
    • Systems include state-of-the-art mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic devices
  • Testing, Commissioning,  and assembly of new balancing machines and systems
  • Extensive travel, both domestic and international, up to 80% after a rigorous training period


Your responsibilities

  • Independent installation, repair and maintenance of our machines at the customers’ locations in Germany and abroad
  • Commissioning of special machines at the headquarters in Pfungstadt
  • Training of the customer personnel

  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Electronic experience, including familiarity with digital circuitry
  • Familiarity with PLC systems preferred

Your profile

  • Diploma as a technician or completed technical apprenticeship (mechatronic technician, etc.) with relevant professional experience
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical installations, electronics, control/automation technology and drive technology
  • Working knowledge of spoken and written English, knowledge in other languages is welcome
  • Unrestricted willingness to travel
  • High customer and service orientation
  • Flexibility and resilience
  • Self-confident behaviour

Appreciated, but no prerequisite

  • Knowledge of Siemens SPS S7
  • Professional experience in a comparable position
  • Basic knowledge of balancing technology
