We are currently seeking a Project manager to join our innovative team here in Lynchburg. The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the planning, monitoring and execution of projects. The PM duties include planning, executing and monitoring every aspect of a specific project. The PM is responsible to meet the Work Order requirements, while controlling budget, scope, and timeline.


Major Duties and Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage multiple manufacturing projects from inception through execution, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines
    • Ensures timely and smooth project transition through Engineering, Procurement, and Production
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and conflicts
    • Coordinate priorities with the respective Department Leads
    • Monitor project progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions
    • Maintains project documentation: communications, schedules, etc.
    • Informs internal resources of project updates
    • Maintain and provide an updated timely status reports to the customer:
    • Identify scope creep and discuss with the customer (include sales)
    • Coordinate shipping, accounting and sales administration activities based on milestones
    • Host visiting customers and schedule pertinent meetings, lunches & dinners
    • Report issues and concerns that effect price and delivery time to management in a timely manner

    • Excellent client-facing and internal communication and written skills
    • Problem-solving and leadership skills
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Firm understanding of project management methodologies and tools
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Blueprint reading

Education / Experience Requirements

    • College Degree or equivalent work experience
    • Fundamental understanding of manufacturing practices
    • Mechanical and Electrical machine build comprehension
    • Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
